Bishopsworth Swimming Club is a friendly local club. We welcome swimmers of all levels and abilities. Our aim is to give all swimmers the best opportunity to achieve their full potential from local to national competitions. Please contact us if you are interested in a trial.
We cater for a large range of swimmers from those who aspire to be world champions, to those who just wish to improve their technique or keep fit.
We have upto 4 sessions per week and all of our sessions are based at the new Hengrove 50m pool and are run by fully trained, CRB checked teachers.
We also have direct links with Bristol’s elite club “city of Bristol swimming club” where we feed our more talented swimmers for additional training.
Bishopsworth SC is a SWIM21 accredited club and is affiliated to the ASA and Gloucester county swimming association. We encourage swimmers to reach their full potential and have a proven track record of success at regional and national level.
The swimming pool at Hengrove is part of the £35 million Hengrove Park Leisure Centre which opened in early 2012.
The 50 metre-long pool, which has been built to Olympic standard, is joined by a learner pool, a health and fitness suite and a free weights area, three aerobics studios, a four-court sports hall, cafe, creche and community meeting rooms
